Art Workshop Paint, heal and balance your creative soul
This workshop is exploring a new technique, incorporating the “serendipity” background with some really lovely play with black and blanking out areas to highlight other details . It lends itself to beautiful flowers and birds in a garden.
This workshop is perfect for both beginners and fellow artists. I will guide you through the layers. Created with stencils and translucent paint.
It is a chance to treat yourself to a day of fun and play. Leave the outside world behind and discover the Artist within!
Do you love playing with colour? Light and shade?
Do you love flowers and the garden? I discovered this striking technique by playing with some of my usual techniques and then coming in with black accents. Those of you who know my paintings will see this creates a different look all together from my Beyond The Veil and Serendipity techniques. I love to experiment!
I was also inspired by stained glass. There are really no rules or particular ways to play with this concept. Some flowers I have brought forward from the background and some I have painted on the top. I always like to encourage my students try different things and see what works for them.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The Workshop will commence with a circle and a chat. Connecting with the group is so important for this style of workshop. The healing power and
sharing and support is so powerful with a group of women. Sisters!
We will go on a short meditation and connect to our creative selves.
THEMES
I recommend you choose large flowers or trees with leaves etc. Birds or other Animals are fun as well. Bring along images already the size you would like on your canvas and then learn how to transfer the images straight onto the canvas with Transfer paper or of course if you are comfortable with drawing you can sketch them on.
Everything is optional!!
I only come up to Queensland once a year, so places will fill quickly.
MATERIALS
Students to supply their own paints and brushes. Golden Fluids recommended but optional.
Canvas 76cm x 76cm is a good size.
You do not need any painting experience for this workshop!
