Under The Sea

Art Workshop

This Art Workshop is lots of fun!!
It is a chance to treat yourself to a day playing with paint and layers.
With no expectations and no inhibitions.

This workshop is perfect for both beginners and fellow artists.
I will guide you through the layers.
Created with stencils and translucent paint.

Our Theme is an Underwater Wonderland and so appropriate for painting in my Rye Beach Studio.

This is the “Gold Coast”. It was my demo one time when I was teaching up there.
Its an example of what you might want to capture in your Underwater Scene and a Skyline.
Or if you prefer you could just stay underwater and keep it simple and have no above water images?

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This workshop is a fun technique using the layering Serendipity platform to create a lovely colourful underwater wonderland.

Using translucent paint layers and stencils to create depth.

You can bring out any images of fish or plant life you like. In the example here I have made the Seal the feature with fish and plants enhancing the background.

You can make the Main image as big as you like depending on the size of your canvas?

Mount Martha Beach including skyline

Materials

I use translucent paints for this technique. mainly Golden Fluids and Atelier Free Flow. Once you have enrolled I will send out a materials list and links to online Shops that carry these paints.

I have a large supply of stencils so you will not need to bring any along if you don’t already have some.

You will still need to bring along some images for inspiration

SHARING OPTION

I do have a “Sharing option” though for those who don’t already have a Paint Kit. For an extra $50 you can share my materials on the day. You will still need to bring a canvas though.

Please give me 4 weeks notice if you decide to choose this option.
